Today, Jed and I decided to find a place to go hiking. After a swing and a miss at Fort McClary, right down the street from our house (which did have a trail, but a REALLY short one) … we drove about 12 miles to South Berwick, ME where we found a state park with an awesome set of trails to explore. It was a great family outing…Abbey had the second half of her nap in the backpack carrier on Jed’s back, and Raven really enjoyed herself, too (don’t tell the State of Maine, but I let her off leash for a while, and she had a blast going twenty feet up and then turning back like – “you guys COMING???” lol).

Abbey woke up after a while and proceeded to ask so sweetly for some water, and then said “Hi!” to all the “Twees” and rocks as we hiked back to the car.
Fun, and cash-conserving….it was a lovely afternoon.
